Description
A viable option to avoiding the more popular Southwest Chutes, the Avalanche Glacier Headwall offers steeper skiing with the same sustained fall line. From the summit, drop towards Piker's Peak, staying west of the Southwest Chutes. Find a break in the upper cliffs and enjoy the continuous turns below. From the base, either ski to Morrison Creek Campground or traverse back to the South Rib.
