Description
Unlike Lava Headwall the rockfall danger is minimized on Lava Ridge whose sustained fall-line is to die for. Subtle variations exist near the bottom of the route where, if later in the season, patches of dirt and rock melt out. This route is also a wonderful climb, easily approached from a col below the North Ridge. It should be noted that Lava Ridge may provide the most moderate descent accessed from Killen Creek.
Documented Descents
- 2006.06.25: Ski descent by Phil Fortier, Jason and Josh Hummel, Sky Sjue (Cascade Crusades)
