Description
Sunset Ridge leads to Liberty Cap and forms the western boundary of the Mowich Face, splitting the Edmunds and South Mowich Glaciers. The base of the ridge to the 12,500+ ft high point adjacent to the Mowich Face features steep to moderate snow slopes for more than 4,000 ft of one sustained fall line. Between the high point and Liberty Cap, the route includes exposed rime ice or rock and the most difficult portion of the Edmunds Headwall.
